SCHOOL EMBLEM

f:id:japanesescienceteacher:20200805110134p:plain

This is our school emblem.

Three olive leaves are placed under the letter "high".

Olives are native to the Mediterranean Sea.

Why do you think we Japanese use olives as a school emblem?

The Bible says,

"Noah knew that the flood was over when the dove came carrying the olive leaf".

Olives are a symbol of peace and prosperity.

So three olives are very lucky.

I think that's why we are using this emblem.
